Highly effective tooth replacement

Dental implants are the optimal solution for replacing missing teeth. They provide greater longevity, stability and aesthetics than the other options available, such as dental bridges or dentures.

Implants are small screw-like devices, usually made from titanium, that are fitted directly to the jaw bone to provide an extremely secure foundation for replacement teeth.

Our dental implant treatments range

We offer a comprehensive range of dental implant treatments, from individual implants to the replacement of entire arches of missing teeth. Our team are able to help with both straightforward and complex cases.

Single implant

All-on-4 implants

Teeth in a day

Single/multiple implants

These are used to replace one or a small number of missing teeth. The implants are fitted (via an abutment) with a dental crown, uniquely coloured and shaped to match the rest of your smile.

Teeth in a Day

Advances in implant technology now allow for implants and a new set of replacement teeth to be fitted in a single day. This dramatically reduces the treatment time of regular implant placement.

Please visit our page on Teeth in a Day for more information.

All-on-4/6/8 Implants

This is a very popular and effective treatment that allows for a complete set of artificial teeth to be securely fitted in the mouth using just four, six, or eight implants. Like Teeth in a Day it typically involves a much shorter treatment process.

Please visit our page on All-on-4/6/8 implants for more information.

Both the Teeth in a Day and All-on-4/6/8 treatments can be life-changing, dramatically improving the appearance of patients who have many teeth missing.

Zygomatic implants

Unlike regular dental implants, which are fitted to the jaw bone, these implants are fitted instead to the zygomatic bone. They are often used when the jaw bone isn’t strong enough to accommodate a typical implant procedure.

Please visit our page on zygomatic implants for more information

Pterygoid implants

These work in a very similar way to zygomatic implants and are an alternative option when the jaw bone has insufficient strength or volume to hold implants. They are fitted to the pterygoid process of the sphenoid bone.

Your dentist will advise on the best option for you after a careful assessment of your case.

Denture stabilisation

Dental implants can also be used to secure dentures. Typically smaller than standard dental implants, these add extra stability to the appliance to keep it firmly in position.

Dental implant FAQs

How long do dental implants last?

If looked after properly, dental implants are generally able to last for a lifetime. While the crown may eventually need to be replaced, or the surrounding tissues require attention, the implant itself is designed to be permanent.

How long does the pain last after dental implant?

You may experience pain and other symptoms for up to 7 days. After 3-7 days you will likely still feel some pain and tenderness around the implant site. However, it should start to get less painful. You can usually return to work or school within 1-3 days after your surgery.

Are dental implants safe?

All of our dental implant treatments are safe and have a very high success rate. They also improve oral health and safety by filling the gaps between teeth that are otherwise prone to infection or disease.

How long does the process take?

The duration of the dental implant procedure may vary based on the patient’s specific requirements.

With traditional implant treatments, the first procedure to place the implant generally lasts between one and two hours. This is followed by a few months of recovery while the implant integrates with the jawbone.

Once this healing process is complete, the bespoke dental crown is then fitted to the implant at a return appointment.

Thanks to the latest technology, implants can also now be fitted along with a set of replacement teeth in just one day. For more information, please visit our Teeth in a Day page.

Do dental implants feel natural, like real teeth?

Dental implants are designed to blend seamlessly with your existing teeth, both in shade and physical appearance. The final result, once the crown is attached, will be nearly identical to your natural teeth.
